DUTIES OF THE OFFICERS
PRESIDENT
- Shall preside at all meetings of the Congress and of its Board of Directors.
He or she shall sign and execute all contracts, deeds, or legal
documents for and on behalf of the Congress for programs and activities
authorized by the Board of Directors.
EXECUTIVE
VICE-PRESIDENT
- Shall promote the expansion of the Congress; work with other organizations
in promoting water safety with a view to standardization of rules,
regulations, laws and equipment; review and prepare articles for publications
issued by other organizations; issue bulletins periodically to officers of the
Congress, and governmental and private agencies;
Plan the annual meetings of the Congress and serve as general committee
chairperson of these meetings.
TREASURER

Shall
receive, disburse, and account for all monies belonging to or accruing to the
Congress at the direction of the Board of Directors; shall turn over to the
successor in office all money, property, and records of the Congress that may
be in his or her possession within 15 days after completion of the term of
office; shall perform all financial aspects of the annual conferences; shall
develop and maintain an annual membership and billing roster of the Congress. A complete and detailed financial statement will be presented
at each Board of Directors meeting (semi-annually). This statement will include all accounts receivable and
accounts payable and the current balance.
EXECUTIVE
SECRETARY
- Shall prepare and provide an agenda for annual board meetings and general
membership meeting; keep minutes of all meetings of the Congress and its Board
of Directors and Executive Committee, and provide copies of these minutes to
the participants; ensure the printing of a quarterly Congress journal upon
receiving camera ready contents from the chairperson of the public relations
committee and distribute to the Congress membership; maintain and distribute
at least annually a listing of all Congress materials and cost; and maintain a
roster of all officers and committee chairpersons and distribute this roster
to the membership.
REGIONAL
VICE PRESIDENTS

Will submit nominations for awards to the awards chairperson, help establish
local water safety councils, distribute chartering kits and promotional and
educational materials, submit articles for the Congress Journal, represent the
Congress at local and regional water safety seminars and perform other duties
as assigned by the President.
